Medicomplementary Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content.
The journal is published using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides free, distributed digital preservation services for open access journals. Through PKP PN, all published articles are securely archived and preserved to ensure continued access over time.
In addition, the journal employs multiple archiving mechanisms, including:
Local server backups maintained by the publisher,
Institutional repositories, where applicable, and
Distributed archiving systems, such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS, when available.
All published articles are assigned persistent identifiers and remain permanently accessible via the journal website. In the event that the journal ceases publication, archived content will continue to be available through PKP PN and other designated preservation services, ensuring the continuity of the scholarly record.
This archiving policy reflects the journal’s commitment to sustainability, reliability, and transparency in scholarly communication and follows internationally recognized best practices for digital preservation.
