Abstract

The current environmental crisis demands significant changes in the education system to raise environmental awareness from an early age. By integrating the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, this community service program aims to promote the concept of green education for teachers at the Sanggar Bimbingan in Malaysia. The program involved 25 teachers who received in-person mentoring. Using the service learning approach, the program enabled teachers to actively participate in the implementation of environmental education in the classroom through direct practice, followed by a survey to assess the participants' understanding after the activities. Survey results showed that 96% of participants were satisfied with the materials provided, and all participants indicated that the program had enhanced their knowledge of the importance of green education. These findings suggest that teachers can shape a generation more mindful of environmental sustainability by improving their pedagogical skills in environmental education. To achieve better outcomes, this program should be continued with more in-depth mentoring and training, along with periodic program sustainability. Overall this community service supports the achievement of SDGs 4 quality education.
